Local Eateries See Mixed Results in Latest Cobb County Safety Checks

Dining out in Cobb County brought a wide range of results during the most recent round of health inspections conducted by the Georgia Department of Public Health between October 2 and October 8. While many establishments maintained pristine records, others faced tougher evaluations that highlight the ongoing challenges of maintaining strict food safety standards across various types of dining environments.

Several local favorites earned perfect marks, showcasing an exemplary commitment to hygiene. Among those receiving a score of 100 were Tea Time, Taco Bell in Acworth, and Marietta Local The. This trend extended beyond traditional restaurants to include community hubs like the Cobb Galleria base of operations and Cobb County Senior Services, along with educational settings such as the 6th Grade Academy. Even fast food staples stayed sharp, with Subway and Haagen Dazs also hitting the century mark.

However, not every kitchen passed with flying colors. Some well known spots saw their scores dip into the eighties, including Bojangles on Powder Springs Road and Willy’s Mexicana Grill on Delk Road. More concerning were the lower end of the spectrum findings, where Dumpling Crown and Hibachi Express both landed at 81, while Kuroshio Sushi Bar and Grille struggled significantly more with a score of 73. These variations serve as a reminder for consumers to check current ratings when choosing where to eat.

For residents who want to dive deeper into these reports, the Georgia Department of Public Health provides detailed breakdowns online. By visiting the official inspection page, diners can see exactly which violations led to specific deductions and how businesses are working to rectify those issues to ensure public safety remains a priority throughout the county.
